Alboin (also known from Geist - lyrics and vocals) and the renowned ambient artist Mathias Grassow were contributing works for this album as studio guests.

With AGRYPNIE, ex-Nocte Obducta singer Torsten again prises open the limits of conventional black metal and creates a cold piece of music that leaves enough room for varied interpretations. Emotional moments combined with the pure aggression of blast parts based on extraordinary varied drumming. With this album you get involved in a more than one hour lasting journey through atmospheric soundscapes which are created by deranged and unheard-of arrangements.
The cold face of AGRYPNIE is also revealed by the according lyrics which are thematizing interpersonal paradigms.
Will be released as Jewelcase and limited DigiPak edition.
DigiPak version includes additional poster !
The first full length album from Torsten "Der Unhold", also singer in NOCTE OBDUCTA. With his solo project he creates opressive black metal with unconventional structures, focused on emotions.

The new Agrypnie album “Grenzgænger” can be offhand entitled as their magnum opus. With a playing time of overall more than one hour AGRYPNIE have created a multifaceted cosmos of sound which drags the listener more and more towards the abyss. Enraged furiousness abruptly turns into disenchanting hopelessness and all boundaries of time and space seem to blur with every step you take towards infinity.
The second album “Pavor Nocturnus” that is released at the same time contains songs from the split release with Fated which has not been available for years. The re-recording of these songs from the beginning of AGRYPNIE gives them a more massive garment for these titles. Furthermore, this album also contains new material that is completely afar from any black metal genres. The album is closed by orchestral reinterpretations of AGRYPNIE classics putting them in completely new light and approaching the songs from a different, quite novel perspective.
This trip into the depths of another dimension also has a playing time of far beyond one hour.
Heavy gatefold 180g double vinyl edition of the "Grenzgænger" album including 2 lyric inserts.
Black vinyl, limited to 200 copies only!
Total playing time more than 70 Minutes!
